The STTC Junior Program is followed by a summer camp program each year in conjunction with the City of Clearwater Recreation Department. The summer camp includes intensive weekly training and practice sessions.
Every summer, at three recreation centers in Clearwater, STTC conducted a youth summer camp program one afternoon per week.
The junior players are taught Olympics-style table tennis. Each session, basic skills in effective strokes, footwork and
game strategy are drilled. But fun and games ensue as the play heats up with fast-paced matches and round-robin competition.
The summer camp program culminates in the Annual Summer Camp Table Tennis Championship, a tournament competition between the
teams from each of the recreation centers.
This is our club's sixth year conducting these clinics and we have several excellent prospects in line for future training.
To date we have introduced over 300 kids to table tennis (not ping-pong) as a sport.
Over 45 youngsters representing City of Clearwater recreation centers gather at
the Ross Norton Recreation Complex on July 29th to compete in a table tennis
tournament hosted by the Sunrise Table Tennis Club.

One of our goals is to place a table tennis table in every city recreation center and to train their staff to conduct training clinics, and then have a city-wide tournament. Jan Harrison, City of Clearwater liaison is helping us with this project.
The summer camp is available to any players ages 9 -17. For more information, contact us
