Youth Programs

    Sports are very important and they help build character. Table tennis is an individual sport with the player doing their utmost to win. The future of table tennis for our club lies in our youth, but the competition to get youth into table tennis is extreme; soccer, basketball, baseball and football, etc.

    To combat this problem, the Sunrise Table Tennis Club is raising money from donations and the Sunburst Tournaments. The Nicholas Financial Resources Group and the Myrtle Wilkins Family are our main sponsors with the City of Clearwater as partners.

    The funds are used to provide free training in table tennis to juniors, ages 10 to 17 through our after-school Junior.  We have also been providing free individual coaching to promising young people that show an interest in practicing and competing.

    The STTC after-school Junior is followed by a Summer Camp Program each year, which culminates in the Annual Summer Camp Table Tennis Championship.
